The Year that changed everything! 2011
Really 2011 started on 19th December 2010, at least in the middle east that is!
I am not going to write about the fruit/veg vendor who set himself alight out of utter dispair, no… But that was the moment that changed everything.
I still remember how silent the main media was about the events that took place in Tunisia, and only started paying attention as the protest gathered momentum and reached the capital and by the 14th of January the first Tyrant fell.
I was in Libya at the time and not a lot was happning at least on the surface that is.
